The OACD provides a range of programming for a variety of audiences, from standalone webinars on specific topics to ongoing career development programs.

A year-long professional development program for faculty members that is designed to cultivate a generation of transformative academic leaders through shared leadership training.

An annual seminar series comprised of a Medical Education Journal Club on the first Friday of every month, a Medical Education Research Methods and Innovative Design (MERMAID) series on the second Friday of every month, a Medical Education Research Conference (MERC) on the third Friday of every month, and the Academy of Distinguished Medical Educators (ADME) seminar series on the fourth Friday of every month.

Previously known as the Postdoctoral Data & Dine Symposium, this annual research symposium is a scientific poster session for University of Pittsburgh postdoctoral associates and scholars to present their research to colleagues, faculty, and administrators, while also networking with attendees.

A series of research-specific workshops are scheduled annually to meet the career development needs of postdoctoral trainees through senior investigators across the health sciences.

Audience: Faculty

SPRINGBOARD is a yearlong, required orientation program for new faculty investigators in the schools of the health sciences.

This is a university-wide event to celebrate and highlight the presence and accomplishments of women in medicine and science at the university.
