Women in Medicine & Science Forum

The Women in Medicine and Science Forum is an annual event in the spring to celebrate and highlight the presence and accomplishments of women in medicine and science at the University; to provide a venue for women to share strengths, talents, and experiences; and to foster an academic culture that supports the professional and personal development of female students, postdoctoral and clinical fellows, and faculty members in medicine and science.

In the fall of 2021, the University of Pittsburgh Women in Medicine & Science Forum Planning Committee organized a special session for the entire Pitt community on the topic of "The Impact of COVID-19 on the Academic Careers of Women in Medicine & Science". Pitt leaders shared their perspectives of the pandemic's impact on female scientists and clinicians at our institution followed by a panel discussion. You can read more about that impactful session here.
