Women Physician Scientist Seminar Series

Promoting the Scientific Careers of
Women in Academic Medicine

Of significant concern to premier academic medical centers
is the need to recruit, develop, and retain talented women
in faculty positions. In response to this need, this seminar series has been designed to increase the exposure of
junior women faculty and clinician trainees to role models external to the University who have successfully
incorporated a research component in their academic career.

This program has two components:
A formal, open scientific lecture co-sponsored by an academic department; and an informal breakfast or luncheon reception specifically for women at which guest speakers share their career development experiences and perspectives
