Travel Awards for Best Poster Presentations
Judging Guidelines
All poster presenters are
eligible.
Posters will be judged from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Presenters need to attend the entire poster session.
Travel awards will be given in the following categories:
1. Basic Biological
Sciences
2. Biochemistry
3. Cellular and Molecular Biology
4. Clinical Sciences
5. Computational Sciences
6. Genetics
7. Method Development
8. Pharmacology and Drug Discovery
9. Physical Sciences
10. Surgery
All posters will be assigned
one of these categories for judging purposes.
Presenters will have an opportunity to suggest a category when registering.
One award winner per category will be selected.
Posters will be judged by a group of faculty and postdoctoral fellows.
The judges will not be identified while judging. Scoring will be based upon
creativity, style, content, impact, presentation, and overall impression.
Award winners will be announced during the dinner that follows the poster
presentation period.
Awards will provide
funds for participation in a scientific conference and are
to be used by recipients between July 2009 and May 2010.
