This interactive workshop, presented by the Office of Academic Career Development–Health Sciences and the University of Pittsburgh Postdoctoral Association as part of SCIENCE2012, is designed to bolster the professional development of postdoctoral fellows and graduate students by providing practical input for discovering emerging opportunities in today’s job market.

Early career scientists possess a range of valuable transferable skills that are highly sought by employers in and out of science. However, skills are only part of the formula for career success. By recognizing and articulating that value, broadening your horizons, exploring your passions, and aligning those passions with emerging employment opportunities, you’ll be better prepared for the next big step in your career.

The featured guest speaker, Alaina G. Levine of Quantum Success Solutions, will be joined by professionals from science-related fields who will facilitate roundtable discussions about career prospects in a variety of settings.
