Mentored Career Development Awards (a.k.a. K Awards) are the National Institute of Health's (NIH) primary grant mechanisms for supporting new and mid-career investigators. This workshop explores the range of K Award options available, provides an overview of the K Award application process and review criteria, and includes a step-by-step guide to preparing an outstanding and successful application. With the exception of the K99/R00 mechanism, K award applicants must be citizens of the US or permanent residents.
